Wire celebrate namesake deal

Warrington Town are celebrating another major boost thanks to a new partnership with LiveWire, the town's largest provider of leisure facilities.

With the Evo-Stik NPL First Division North club nicknamed 'The Wire', Warrington believe the deal is the perfect branding partnership for both parties!

LiveWire's new Orford Park Jubilee Hub, which was officially opened by Her Majesty the Queen this year and includes a full size 3G pitch, has since become the club's training base. The leisure facilities also include six state of-the-art fitness suites, seven swimming pools, fitness classes and sports activities for the whole family.

In return for use of the facilities the football club helps promote healthy lifestyles in the community by helping increase awareness of everything LiveWire has to offer.

Warrington Town Chairman Gary Skentelbery confirmed on Tuesday that the Wire will be using Orford Park's corporate hospitality facilities for their forthcoming Legend's dinner on Friday October 19. The event is already heading for a sell out after Warrington announced last month that former Everton and England star Peter Reid, brother of Town's manager Shaun, will be guest speaker on the night.

Hailing the club's latest partnership, Skentelbery said: "Our partnership with LiveWire has provided our football club with the best training facilities in Non-League football. In fact we have probably got better training facilities than a lot of Football League clubs.

He added: "It is another piece in the jigsaw towards helping bring a successful football club to the town of Warrington, which can help benefit the local community in a variety of different ways. We are very much a community club and are delighted LiveWire have joined our growing band of community partners."

LiveWire Managing Director Jan Souness, pictured alongside the company's chairman Alan Yates and board member Paul Taylor, said: "Livewire are very pleased to be working in partnership with Warrington Town Football Club. The opportunities for both organisations are exciting, working on joint initiatives to promote excellence in sport health and active lifestyles in Warrington. The club does great work in the community to support young people, the game of football and promote Warrington as a town with lots to offer."
