England's 1966 World Cup winning goalkeeper Gordon Banks and comedian John Styles, son of another of the Wembley heroes Nobby Styles, are teaming up to entertain fans at Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Rainworth Miners Welfare next month.

The First Division South Wrens announced on Wednesday that Banks, pictured, and his former teammate's son, would be on stage at the Mines' Welfare Concert Room on Thursday 27 February.

Capped 73 times by his country, Banks finally hung up his gloves in 1972 at the age of 34 and is universally acknowledged as the first of what was to become a golden era of English goalkeepers.

The event, which includes a buffet meal, is open to both ladies and gentlemen with tickets priced at £30 per person. For more information on tickets contact Secretary Les Lee on 07889 561787.
