The Glassboys, hosting the League One Cobblers next Tuesday night after a frozen pitch forced them to postpone their tie at the War Memorial Ground on Sunday, were paired with the former Non-League club in Monday night's televised draw on BBC2, Ian Wright and Steven Gerrard doing the honours at the top of the BT Tower in London.
Stourbridge stopper Matthew Gould, grandson of Wimbledon's FA Cup winning boss Bobby Gould, was at the draw representing the EVO-STIK NPL Premier Division club, the lowest ranked club still standing in the world's oldest cup competition and in the third round draw for the first time in their history.
He told viewers: "Hopefully, we can go through against Northampton and then go to Wycombe and do the job to stay in the Cup."
Stourbridge, who reached the second round last season, collected £18,000 in prize money for beating Whitehawk in the first round proper and will bank another £27,000 if they knock out Northampton. If they do go through and can overcome Wycombe, they'll scoop another £67,500 out of the FA's Prize Fund.
On their way to the second round they've already knocked out Peterborough Sports, Mickleover Sports, Ilkeston FC and Nantwich Town.
