The Doodson Sport Cup Final

The Evo-Stik Northern Premier League is inviting fans from across the league to attend Sunday’s Doodson Sport Cup Final at Stockport County’s Edgeley Park.

Premier Division rivals AFC Fylde and Skelmersdale United are going head-to-head at the former Football League ground, pictured, and officials say neutrals from all 67 of the Evo-Stik NPL's club are welcome at the showpiece event which is also open to fans from throughout the game.

Won last April by North Ferriby United after they beat Curzon Ashton on penalties at Farsley AFC’s Throstle Nest, this year’s Northern Premier League Challenge Cup Final kicks off at 3.07pm in line with fixtures across football marking the 25th anniversary of the Hillsborough tragedy when 96 Liverpool fans lost their lives during the FA Cup Semi-Final between Liverpool and Nottingham Forest.

The match at Hillsborough ended after six minutes on 15 April 1989 and all the Evo-Stik NPL's fixtures this Saturday are kicking off at 3.07pm, with a minute’s silence observed at grounds from 3.06pm to 3.07pm.

Admission at Edgeley Park is priced at £8 adults and £5 concessions.
