The snowfall across the region created another fixture headache for the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League on Saturday with all games except for FC United of Manchester's home game against Blyth Spartans postponed because of snow on pitches or major travel disruptions.
Phil Bradley, League Respect Manager and ex-League Secretary, said: "This is the worst disruption to fixtures I have experienced in many years with the league."
Alan Allcock, League Operations Manager added: "The League fixture programme was looking good for most clubs but the severe weather has created some major problems in how to squeeze in games over the remaining weeks of the season.
"As I look out of my window in Knutsford, Cheshire there is not one flake of snow yet only a short distance away games are off due to deep snow."
"The weather has been disruptive to the NPL fixture programme since August when the first game was called off due to heavy rain. Even the 3G pitch at Sutton Coldfield Town/Romulus has had games off due to snow and rain."
