Leek Town had to dig deep in a dour game to record their first victory of the New Year on a very heavy Harrison Park pitch that made good football almost impossible.

United faced with one of their longer trips and a difficult pitch had the same starting line-up that did so well at Sutton Coldfield. The same four substitutes were also named. By the end of the game they felt hard done by to come away with nothing.
