Frickley Athletic are the latest Evo-Stik NPL club to announce they are backing National Non-League Day.

The Blues join a growing number of Non-League clubs up and down the country offering free admission to season ticket holders of Premier League and Football League clubs on Saturday 13 October.

The Blues play Stafford Rangers on National Non-League Day, which is being staged for the third year running after it's previous success in attracting new fans and raising awareness of the Non-League game.

Organisers will be hoping this year's event will attract added attention from Sky Sports as football commentator and Kingstonian coach Martin Tyler is now the event's official ambassador.

To qualify for free admission all supporters need to do is produce a valid season ticket at turnstiles. The event was launched to encourage Non-League fans to bring along their friends and family who might normally head for Football League or Premier League matches.

Frickley are also hoping to raise funds towards their £50,000 ground redevelopment target immediately after the game by staging two junior matches. Athletic have announced a special offer to attract hungry fans - a traditonal football feast of pies and peas for just £3.

All proceeds are going to the fund and the pie and peas can be ordered in advance at the home game against Bentley Colliery.
