The UK's biggest supermarket chain and Diabetes UK are teaming up on Sunday to stage the Tesco Clitheroe Football Community Cup at Shawbridge.

Teams from four of the supermarket's outlets in the region are competing in the event at Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Clitheroe's ground. The tournament is being organised by Diabetes UK and Tesco to raise £10 million to help create healthier communities, and to help support those affected by, and at risk of, diabetes.

The event runs from 3.30pm until 7pm at the First Division North ground and organisers are laying on a host of family attractions including face-painting, games and a tombola and raffle with great prizes. A licensed bar will also be open along with a number of food outlets, including hot dog and cake stalls.

Entry on Sunday is £2 with children aged under 12 admitted for free.
