Blues land Championship starlet on loan

Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Clitheroe have signed Blackburn Rovers starlet Jordan Preston on a month’s loan.

The Championship giants announced on Friday that the 18-year-old forward and Scotland U19, pictured, was joining the First Division North's Blues until April 5.

The Rovers Academy star has scored 22 goals this season and will go straight into manager Simon Garner's squad for Saturday's clash with Burscough at Shawbridge.

Garner said: "We are delighted to welcome Jordan and I am looking forward to adding a player of his ability to a team already full of young, local talent.

"It is a real coup to get a player of his ability and we would like to thank Blackburn Rovers for allowing us to provide Jordan with an opportunity to continue to learn his trade."
