Blues lure title-winning duo

North Ferriby United duo Mark Gray and Steve Gardner have both left the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League's champions to move to Frickley Athletic.

Central defender Gray, 21, returns to Westfield Lane after spending the latter half of the 2011-12 season with the Blues before moving to Ferriby last summer.

He is joined by full-back Steve Gardner, 22, who had a month on loan at Frickley from the NPL's Conference North-bound Premier Division title-winners last season after returning from injury.

Blues manager Karl Rose also announced on Thursday that two more players had also signed on non-contract forms for the coming campaign.

Defender-cum-midfielder Joe Fox, 21, joins from First Division North Ossett Albion and midfielder Phil Oniama, 21, from Garforth Town following their relegation out of the Evo-Stik NPL. Fox has previously played in the Premier Division for Worksop Town and also spent time at Hyde FC.
