Leek Town are mourning the loss of club stalwart Brian Corden who passed away last week.
On Saturday at Harrison Park Blues supporters paid tribute to Corden and former keeper Gary Ingham who also died recently with a minute’s applause before their 1-1 draw with King’s Lynn Town.
A past committee member and fan of more than 20 years of the Evo-Stik NPL First Division South Blues, retired former camera engineer Corden died aged 51 and leaves behind a sister who lives in the West Midlands area.
Spokesman Michael Cope said: "The club extends its sincere condolences to Brian’s family and friends. He was an avid supporter who followed the club all over the country, especially during the Conference days.
"Brian was a worker not just a watcher. He was a good natured, sensible and considerate person and a wholehearted supporter of the Blues."
* Leek are holding a fund-raising meeting for fans in the Blues Room at Harrison Park on Thursday [December 6] at 7.30pm. Manager Neil Baker is attending the meeting. The Blues say they hope as many supporters and club members as possible will make the event to brain storm ideas.
