Salford bring in Cheadle midfielder

Salford City manager Darren Sheridan has signed midfielder Matthew German from North West Counties League side Cheadle Town.

German has previously been with Abbey Hey and Maine Road. He arrives at the Evo-Stik NPL First Division North club within days of another midfielder, former FC United of Manchester man Phil McGrath.

Striker Ben Beresford has also returned to Salford following earlier spells with the Ammies that saw him become a firm favourite with fans during the 2010-11 and 2011-12 campaigns.
