Bucks clash is first postponement

By David Watters

Tuesday night's EVO-STIK Northern Premier League clash between Buxton and Stafford Rangers is the first weather related casualty of the 2016-17 season.

Top flight leaders Buxton were forced to call off the EVO-STIK NPL Premier Division fixture at Silverlands following a 4.30pm pitch inspection.

Disappointed Bucks officials said the rain was still "bucketing down" in Derbyshire after earning the unwanted statistical honour from match officials who were called in to carry out the early inspection.
