Buddle bids farewell to Ashington

Ashington have confirmed that Nathan Buddle has left the club by mutual consent.

The 30-year-old defender joined the Colliers in June 2023 and went on to make 14 appearances for the club.

The former Blyth Spartans defender, who suffered a serious concussion injury last season, was hit with more setbacks during time at Ashington which ruled him out of action for a prolonged period.

Buddle most recently featured in their 3-2 victory away at Consett.

In a statement about his departure, the club said: "We can confirm that Nathan Buddle has left Ashington AFC by mutual agreement.

"We would like to thank Nathan for his contributions to the club and wish him well for the future."
