Brigg manager Mick Gray made midfielder Paul Ashton his second signing in as many days on Friday.
Ashton's arrival at the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League club's Hawthorns from Northern Counties East League outfit Armthorpe Welfare follows Wednesday's signing of Elliott Broughton from Louth after Gray returned to his former club to sign the 18-year-old winger.
Ashton, 26, was a trainee at Grimsby Town, making one goalscroring substitute appearance for the Mariners first-team before being released in 2007. At Armthorpe he was the manager's player of the year last season.
The Zebras also announced on Friday that experienced coach Gary Paton has joined Gray's backroom staff.
