Call goes out for final filmmakers

By David Watters

The EVO-STIK Northern Premier League's official website provider Pitchero only needs camera operators at fourteen more clubs to start covering every match played for NLPTV.

Pitchero have been recruiting paid cameramen and women since November for a league wide pool of official operators to film clubs for matchday highlights, Pitchero Play's weekly highlights show and other video initiatives planned when NPLTV is officially launched in 2017.

Camera operators will be paid £25 a match to watch their clubs in action while offering unprecedented coverage to fans after successful trials of Pitchero Play in the EVO-STIK NPL's top flight last Easter, growing coverage this season and the launch of a pilot for the new highlights show in October.

Pitchero Play's operations manager Tim Newton says recruits are still wanted for the following clubs - Tadcaster Albion, Goole AFC, Shaw Lane AFC, Stocksbridge Park Steels, Burscough, Witton Albion, Buxton, Nantwich Town, Northwich Victoria, Gresley FC, Rugby Town, Chasetown, Hednesford Town and Bedworth United.

On Thursday Newton urged potential candidates to come forward for training in the use of their easy and intuitive system which is powered by a revolutionary new app, allowing operators to effectively "point and shoot" without the need to worry about editing and other technology issues!

He said: "We're just looking for the final recruits now after a big response in December. Its a great opportunity for anyone who loves the game to get behind the camera and use the latest tech in the sports industry while watching football and getting paid too."

He added: "The camera operator roles could suit a fan who just loves filming or somebody looking to get into media work so we'd encourage anyone to apply."
