Ex-Owls star returns to the Yeltz

Former Halesowen Town assistant manager Graham Hyde is back at the EVO-STIK Northern Premier League's Yeltz as John Hill's new first team coach.

The former Sheffield Wednesday and Birmingham City midfielder, number two to Martin O'Connor at The Grove during the 2006-07 season, was named on Wednesday as the successor to Kev Barry following his exit to manage the RAF's side.

As a player the 46-year-old enjoyed a glittering career playing at the top level for Sheffield Wednesday, making over 200 league and cup appearances and reaching two Wembley finals before moving on to Birmingham City under the leadership of Trevor Francis and ending his career as club captain of Worcester City in 2006.

As well as the Yeltz, his managerial career has also taken in Redditch United as both assistant and manager and both Boston United and AFC Telford United as number two.

Hill told the club's fans he was delighted to have swiftly secured the services of the experienced UEFA A and B licensed coach who has also held coaching positions at Wolverhampton Wanderers, Birmingham City and most recently, West Bromwich Albion’s academy.

Hill said: "Although I am very saddened to lose Kev Barry as first team coach due to his RAF commitments, I am delighted that Graham has decided to join us. He brings with him a wealth of experience and is looking forward to the challenge ahead."
