Call goes out to support teen star

EVO-STIK League Goole AFC are urging their fans to turn out in force for a benefit match tonight (Tuesday) for crocked U21s star Connor Todd.

The Vikings are taking on Hemingbrough United in a 7.45pm kick-off at the Victoria Pleasure Grounds after the teenager, pictured, suffered a broken leg and ligament damage while playing for local side Eastern Raiders.

After holding a bucket collection on Saturday during their 3-0 home defeat at the hands of Brighouse Town in EVO-STIK League North, admission for the fundraiser has been set at £1 for all with the club's bar and refreshment facilities all opening.

Urging their fans on Twitter to attend, @GooleAFC tweeted: "Please come along and support the "Young Vikings" and help us raise as much as possible to help support Connor through this difficult time."
