Market Drayton Town's new caretaker manager Simon Line has brought Reece Sweetnam back to the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League's First Division South less than a week after replacing Lee Ebden.

The defender has signed from Premier Division Stafford Rangers, who parted company with their own manager Greg Clowes on Sunday. Sweetnam joined Rangers in the summer after a successful campaign at Drayton last term and could be available for selection against Coalville Town at the Greenfields Sports Ground on Tuesday night.

Line, is also hoping to bring in a number of other new faces in the coming days after his side's 3-1 defeat at Sheffield on Saturday, his first game in charge following Ebden's exit last Thursday.

A club spokesman said: "We will be looking to tie up a few more new signings before Saturday's game, but we welcome Reece back and look to have some more new lads on show over the next few weeks."

Line, 42, managed the club from 2005 to 2009 and again from 2010 to 2011. He's taken charge for the third time and has been invited to apply for the post permanently.
