Coalville Town’s caretaker manager Jimmy Gray has been handed the post on a permanent basis after successfully holding the fort at the EVO-STIK League’s Ravens.
Gray, pictured, was appointed by the First Division South club on Wednesday after replacing former manager Adam Stevens two weeks ago. Former Ravens star Stevens stood down after eight years at the helm of the Leicestershire club.
His successor will continued to be assisted by Andy Turner. Together they have guided the club to three wins from four games since taking over and the pair are set to take charge for the first time on a permanent basis on Saturday when the Ravens travel to Belper Town in the FA Cup's First Qualifying Round.
Coalville Town chairman Glyn Rennocks said: "We are delighted to be able to give Jimmy this opportunity. He has shown over the last four games that he deserves this chance. We were overwhelmed by the number and high quality of the applicants for the role and we thank them all for their interest. The whole club is behind Jimmy and we wish him well as the club looks to build on their recent success."
