Riordan will be hoping for a repeat performance at home in the league on Saturday against Bamber Bridge after opening the scoring against them last weekend in a 5-2 Emirates FA Cup Preliminary Round victory at The Sir Tom Finney Stadium.
Now 29, the defender took over as chairman at the Our Physio Stadium two years ago after returning to EVO-STIK NPL First Division North club and putting his 'vision' to the Albion board before being unanimously elected.
No stranger to the EVO-STIK NPL having turned out for Albion's neighbours Ossett Town, Stocksbridge Park Steels, North Ferriby United and Bradford Park Avenue in the competition, Riordan celebrated in style last weekend after finding the next just five minutes into the tie in Lancashire.
The playing chairman first joined Albion back in 2005 when Eric Gilchrist was manager, playing regularly for the club for the next six seasons and winning a host of awards after scoring his first goal in October 2006 against Willenhall Town in the FA Trophy. After leaving following Gilchrist's retirement, he returned in 2013, making just one appearance before going on to become one of only a handful of playing chairman in Non-League football and the only one in the EVO-STIK NPL.
