Sutton Coldfield Town and Romulus have teamed up to raise £1000 for charity.
The Roms say they were even happy to be beaten 1-0 in the Sutton Charity Cup as neither team was worried about the result with Erdington’s John Taylor Hospice, pictured collecting their cheque from Roms players, benefitting from the annual friendly cup between the Evo-Stik NPL First Division South outfits.
Roms chairman Andy Wilson said both clubs were delighted to support such a worthy cause again ahead of next weekend's Evo-Stik NPL kick off.
"It was a great day for all involved," he said. "We’ve supported the hospice over the past few years and will continue to do so as they do fantastic work in our community. The help they give to people in their hour of need should never be underestimated."
