Chester FC - Champions

Premier Division

Chester FC are celebrating this evening after securing the Premier Division title with a 1-1 draw against Northwich Victoria at the Exacta Stadium.

A club record crowd of 5,009 witnessed the club's second successive promotion since reforming in 2010, as a late Matthew McGinn goal earned Chester the point they needed to attain an unassailable lead at the top of the division.

Only Luton Town's 6,003 crowd for their game with Hayes and Yeading surpassed Chester's attendance on Monday afternoon, which was also higher than that of several Football League clubs.

The Evo-Stik NPL wishes to congratulate Chester FC on their success.
