Christmas comes early at Wire

Christmas has come early at Warrington Town thanks to one of the club's new supporters who's produced video highlights of the season so far as a gift for the Wire's fans.

Damian Graham, who works for one of the Evo-Stik NPL First Division North club's sponsors, local bus company Network Warrington, has put together edited highlights of the campaign - including slow motion action replays of key moments - that are being viewed around the world on Youtube and are also available on high quality HD DVD.

Graham's match highlights are already popular with fans and manager Shaun Reid. They can usually be viewed within a couple of hours of the final whistle and a DVD copy is later handed to the manager for match analysis with his coaching team at the Abacus Solicitors Community Stadium.

Having the spotlight on the Wire isn't doing their performances any harm. Since filming began they've won November's Jungledrum Evo-Stik NPL First Division North Fair Play Award and have been steadily climbing the table towards the play-off spots.

Warrington Chairman Gary Skentelbery is equally as pleased with the extra benefits the online coverage is bringing to sponsors and for marketing the club's community work.

He said: "Damian has not only become a great asset to the club - but also one of our most passionate supporters. He has spent many hours of his own time producing our video highlights which is helping promote our club to a whole new audience.

"It also provides great additional exposure for our various club sponsors, with their pitch side boards now being seen on TV by a global audience!"
