Cleethorpes sign AJ Adelekan

Cleethorpes Town have strengthened their backline with the signing of AJ Adelekan.

The imposing defender spent last season at Lincoln United in the Pitching In NPL East Division.

He came through the ranks at Redbridge and boasts plenty of footballing experience through his time at Walthamstow, Rushall Olympic, Stamford and National League North side Alfreton Town.

Now he will link up with an Owls side looking to build on last season's mid-table finish in the NPL East Division.

"I'm really happy to be here," Adelekan said.

"The lads and management team have already made me feel very welcome. I am looking forward to working hard to achieve the clear aims we have as a group."

Joint-managers Tim Lowe and Liam Dickens said: "We're happy to secure AJ for the campaign.

"He's another player that has experience playing levels above. AJ is a mountain of a man, with great strength & speed.

"He is a left-sided centre-back, and we are looking forward to seeing him in action."
