Former Stafford Rangers and Newcastle Town manager Greg Clowes is back in Evo-Stik Northern Premier League management after taking the helm at Market Drayton Town.
Clowes, pictured being interviewed last season after Stafford Rangers lifted the Walsall Senior Cup, left the Premier Division club in September after 27 months at Marston Road. He was due to take training at the Greenfields Sports Ground on Thursday night following confirmation of his appointment earlier in the day.
Dorrian Gamer, his number two at Rangers, has taken the assistant manager's post and the pair take charge for the first time on Saturday when Town travel to Bedworth in First Division South.
Clowes is the permanent successor to Lee Ebden whose contract was terminated by Market Drayton Town at the start of September after he took over in the summer.
Simon Line was appointed interim manager in the wake of Ebden's departure with former Chelsea defender and Wigan Athletic manager Chris Hutchings continuing in his role as as assistant-manager.
