Signings spree by Ammies duo

Phil Power and Barry Massay have brought in seven new faces this week to help turn around Salford City's fortunes in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League's First Division North.

The joint managers, pictured, kicked off their attempt to arrest a recent slump in form by the Ammies at the start of the week when they persuaded Macclesfield Town keeper Andrew Mills to move to Moor Lane on loan and signed midfielder Ben Proctor from Chorley.

The duo have now been joined by experienced defender Dave Chadwick. He returns after a decade away and stops at Prescot Cables, FC United of Manchester, New Mills and Stockport Sports.

Former Ammies youth team right-back Jake Kenny has also returned from Conference Premier FC Halifax Town along with full-back James Moss, who has played for Macclesfield, Port Vale, New Mills, Abbey Hey and Stockport Sports.

Central midfielder Richard Smith joins from FC United of Manchester with the left-sided Tom Walker, whose clubs include Skelmersdale United, Caernarfon Town, Chorley, Northwich Victoria and most recently First North rivals Mossley, completing the spree.
