Coasters manager Dave Challinor can't wait for AFC Fylde's chance to reach the FA Cup's First Round Proper for the first time.

Challinor's Evo-Stik NPL Premier men kick off against league rivals Ilkeston in the only all Evo-Stik NPL tie on Saturday, guaranteeing the league at least one representative in Sunday's draw for the First Round Proper.

AFC Fylde's manager, pictured, says everyone at the club is eager to kick off again in the world's oldest football competition with the team in great form after Tuesday night's impressive 4-1 away win at Chorley's Victory Park.

He said: "When the draw was made I'm sure both clubs were quietly happy with the outcome. It's a tie both sides will think they have more than an even chance of winning and there's obviously a massive carrot at the end of it in terms of being in the draw for the First Round Proper."

Coasters captain Bradley Barnes reckons the team is determined to make the most of the chance to make club history after drawing 1-1 with Ilkeston on the opening day of the Evo-Stik NPL season at the New Manor ground.

"Saturday’s a massive game for the club as we’re just 90 minutes away from the First Round of the FA Cup and with Ilkeston thinking the same it should be a great game," he said.

AFC Fylde say fans who can't make the game at Kellamergh Park can follow the action on their official Twitter feed, @afcflyde.
