Newcastle Town have added Leek Town's Christian Millar to their squad after the midfielder had a change of heart.
The former Macclesfield star, pictured, had declared that he was staying at Evo-Stik NPL First Divsion South Leek despite league rivals Castle putting in the required seven days notice of approach for his sevices.
But on Thursday night Millar changed his mind and informed Newcastle manager John Diskin that he wanted to switch to the Lyme Valley Stadium.
Millar goes straight into Newcastle's squad for Saturday's home game against Gresley Rovers and a delighted Diskin believes his signing gives him new options for setting up his side.
Diskin said: "He will add something to the side giving us options in the way we play and it is also a great opportunity for him to kick on and further his career in the game with regular football. He is a sensible lad who knows that there are no certainties in football."
