Collins extends his stay with the Holy Blues

Gainsborough Trinity have announced that defender Cody Collins has extended his stay with the club.

The centre-back put pen to paper with the Holy Blues at the end of October as part of a one-month loan deal from Mansfield Town Academy.

He began his career with Hull City’s youth squad before he joined the Stags in 2020.

Collins enjoyed three seasons with the club which included a two-month loan spell with Alfreton Town.

The 18-year-old defender has gone on to make seven appearances in all competitions for the Premier Division side this season.

He will look for more first-team minutes during his extension, with Neil Bishop’s side currently sitting top of the Premier Division.

Gainsborough will travel to Ewen Fields for their next league fixture against third-placed Hyde United.
