Appointed as first team manager in April 2011 after serving as reserve team boss and number two to Tony Greenwood from 2006, Crowe stood down on Friday after telling officials at The Sir Tom Finney Stadium that he believed he'd taken the team, currently tenth, as far as he could. Crowe, pictured, was in the final year of a three year contract he'd signed in 2013-14 after guiding the Brig to seventh and fourth place finishes in his first two seasons at the helm.
In a statement announcing Crowe's departure, the club named assistant manager Neil Reynolds as his successor with immediate effect. The former Darwen, Plymouth Argyle, Clitheroe, Kendal Town and Taunton Town midfielder, in his third spell at Irongate, takes charge for the first time at Colwyn Bay on Saturday in EVO-STIK NPL First Division North action.
A club spokesman said: "It is with great reluctance that Bamber Bridge chairman Franny Doyle has accepted the resignation of manager Neil Crowe. Neil has been involved with the club for over 10 years, and throughout that time has shown great dedication and service to the club.

"Bamber Bridge would like to place on record to thank Neil for all his hard work and dedication he has shown throughout his time at the club. We all at Bamber Bridge wish Neil all the best for the future, and from all the friends he has made at the club, and to let him know that he will be welcome at the club any time."
