Crowe seals swap deal with Dolly Blues

Bamber Bridge

Evo-Stik NPL First Division North Bamber Bridge have strengthened their squad with the capture of striker Craig Carney.

Carney, signed by manager Neil Crowe after a spell with league rivals Lancaster City, made an immediate impact on Tuesday night when he scored in Brigg's 2-1 defeat at Clitheroe.

Carney broke a leg playing in an English Colleges fixture last season but is now fully fit and arrives from the Dolly Blues after Darren Green moved in the opposite direction to the Giant Axe.

Green left Irongate by mutual consent and Crowe has also re-signed experienced defender Jerome Fitzgerald, whose previous clubs include Guiseley, Southport, Fleetwood Town and Chorley.
