The Doodson Sport Cup Final at Stockport County's
Edgeley Park will kick off at 3.07pm as the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League marks the 25th anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster next weekend.
The league announced on Wednesday that its clubs would join football’s national commemoration on Saturday by kicking off seven minutes late as a mark of respect for the 96 Liverpool fans who lost their lives during the FA Cup Semi-Final between Liverpool and Nottingham Forest.
The match at Hillsborough ended six minutes after kick off on 15 April 1989 and as well as the Evo-Stik NPL's fixtures, all Premier League, Football League, Football Conference, Ryman League and many others throughout football's pyramid will kick off at 3.07pm with a minute’s silence observed at grounds from 3.06pm to 3.07pm.
In line with other fixtures over the weekend, led by the FA Cup Semi-Finals, the league's Challenge Cup clash between AFC Fylde and Skelmersdale United will also take part in the act of remembrance which the Football Association has invited FA sanctioned leagues and competitions to take part in.
