Dabbers draw Silkmen in county cup

Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Nantwich Town are heading to Macclesfield Town in the First Round of the Cheshire Senior Cup.

John Askey’s Silkmen pulled off the shock of the round in this weekend’s FA Cup First Round when they hammered Swindon Town 4-0 at the Moss Rose.

Danny Johnson’s side will hope for better fortunes when they visit the Conference Premier side for the tie which is expected to take place in the week commencing 13 January.

The Dabbers last visited the Moss Rose in the Semi-Finals of the competition in March 2012, securing a 3-0 victory on the way to lifting the trophy for the fourth time in the Premier Division club’s history.
