Danny Gordon departs the Raygar Stadium

The midfielder joined Belper Town on the back of successful spells at a number of clubs including Heanor Town, Mickleover Sports and Ilkeston FC where he donned the captain’s armband.

Grant Black and Mick Norbury said: "He has been a pleasure to work with on and off the field him and his family have also been a great part of the club

"We didn't want Danny to leave and told him that we wanted him with us as he's a great player.

"But Danny said that wanted a fresh challenge and we have to respect that.

"We wish him all the best he has made himself a legend at Belper Town and gave us one of the best moments we've had in football.
