Defender commits to Ossett United

Ossett United defender Paddy Miller has agreed a new deal with the club ahead of the 2023/24 season.

He joined the Sheepicorns in January following a break from the game, and quickly made a positive impression at the club.

To date, Miller has made 12 appearances for the Pitching In NPL East Division side, helping them narrowly avoid relegation last season.

On staying at the club, he said: "From the first training session, I really enjoyed it. Luckily I kept myself fit during retirement with marathon training, which made the transition back into playing slightly easier.

"The dressing room and the welcome I got from people behind the scenes was fantastic and allowed me to settle in straight away.

"I do believe with the players the management team are currently working on and the signings made so far, we can be really optimistic for a successful season coming up."
