Yaxley complete coaching setup

Roberts was confirmed as the club’s new manager last week, and will be hoping to lead them back to step four, following their relegation.

Makate was recently involved with Huntingdon Town at step six. He led them to a seventh-placed finish in the Eastern Counties League Division One North, eight points off the play-offs. Next season, they will be playing in the Spartan South Midland League.

He joins a Yaxley side who will play in the Combined Counties League next season.

On the new addition to his coaching staff, Roberts said: “Wilks has a great approach to football, and is passionate and driven.

“Relentless in his pursuit of excellence, he’s a really nice guy too, which helps with team bonding.

“He is tactically astute and shares the same beliefs as I in bringing through youth players. I’m looking forward to the season ahead, with Wilks by my side.”
