Defender wished a speedy recovery

Droyslden's fans, players and officials are wishing their defender Phil Clarke a speedy recovery after he suffered a suspected broken leg in the EVO-STIK Northern Premier League on Saturday.

The 28-year-old former Flint Town player was hurt less than five minutes into the club's EVO-STIK NPL First Division North win at Brighouse Town. Play at the Dual Seal Stadium was suspended for nearly hour while Clarke was treated on the pitch by paramedics before being ferried to hospital by ambulance.

The Bloods came back from a 2-0 half-time deficit with three goals in 11 minutes to claim all three points and later dedicated the 3-2 triumph to their centre-half, posting on Twitter: "All at the club send Phil Clarke our best wishes and wish him a speedy recovery - that comeback was for you mate."

On Facebook they later added: "Our thoughts tonight are with Phil and his family, and this win is for you mate."
