Speed joins from North West Counties League side Euxton Villa. He scored 15 goals in 36 appearances for them last year in the First Division North. They managed to finish in the playoff places, but were beaten on penalties by Chadderton.
Over the course of his career, he started his career at Crewe Alexandra, before signing for Oldham Athletic on a scholarship. After he was released, he played for City of Liverpool before signing for Euxton Villa.
He said he was excited for the season, and proving himself to be a big player for the team.
McClenaghan joins from Ashton Town, where he had been since December. Before then, he was at Vauxhall Motors. He kept 14 clean sheets over the course of the season, seven for each side.
He has also appeared for the likes of Kendall Town, Glossop North End and Alsager Town.
