Host Ben Hughes and special guest Swampy from FCUM Radio and the Non-League Show settled down at the home of the Bloods in the run up to Christmas on Tuesday night to record the latest hour long podcast during the 1-0 win for their hosts in EVO-STIK League North.
Released for download on Friday night for fans, players and officials, the duo were joined in the press box by Northwich Guardian sports writer Andrew Simpson with a full preview of Saturday's Premier Division programme and the latest news from around the league during the competition's historic 50th anniversary season in 2017-18.
Three of the managers getting ready to be involved, Matlock Town's Craig Hopkins, Hednesford Town's Rob Smith and Tommy Lawson at Marine, also took time out from their preparations on Thursday night to offer their insights, along with Kevin Moore from Switch Radio with the story behind Sutton Coldfield Town's recent revival and upturn in form.
The EVO-STIK NPL Show's hit stable of weekly and monthly podcasts returned in August to build on their best ever listening figures last term and an end of season surge following a series of special live broadcasts from the promotion play-offs.
Still available on iTunes as well as Audioboom and produced as always by the award-winning team at FCUM Radio, the podcasts are being sponsored for the fourth season running by the NPL's title sponsors EVO-STIK. Since last season, they have also been available via their own button on the right hand side of the home page of the league's official website.
