Leek Town’s dynamic midfielder Anthony Danylyk has been honoured for making more than three hundred appearances for the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League’s Blues.

Before Saturday’s 4-1 win over Brigg Town at Harrison Park, the 31-year-old was presented with a special tankard to mark his recent 300th appearance for the First Division South’s promotion hunters.

Danylyk is pictured being collecting his award before kick off from Blues Chairman Andy Wain, left, and Director Steve Norris, who once received the same accolade having played 393 times for the club himself.

The former Stoke, Belper Town, Wittom Albion and Altrincham midfielder joined an elite club of just eleven players who have reached the landmark. Since returning to the Blues for his third spell in December 2011, Danylyk has also won a number of awards including two Supporters’ Player of the Season trophies and a Manager’s and Players’ Player of the Season accolade.

* With the title race looking to be going down to the wire, Leek Town officials announced on Monday that they have teamed up with a local coach firm, Robin Hood Travel, to boost their away support at their final five fixtures on the road with discounted travel deals.
