Garnett, 25, joins the club from Stafford Rangers and becomes Lee Attenborough’s first summer signing for 2020/21.
He came through the Burton Albion academy, before spells at Worksop Town, Ilkeston Town, Belper Town and Kidderminster Harriers. He scored 21 goals in the 2018/19 season for Mickleover Sports, leaving for Stafford last summer.
Attenborough said: "Evan [Garnett] is a massive signing for the club. He is a player that myself and Brad [Munn] have kept tabs on for over a season now and to finally get him to the club is fantastic.
“When I was putting plans in place for the coming season, you envisage your side and how games may play out in a variety on conditions, on different surfaces etc etc and when I look at Evan up front with Karl Demidh, I see good things. As a centre-half who played this level for a good number of years, I can safely say I wouldn't have enjoyed coming up against them two as a pair. I can't imagine they'll give many defensive pairings and easy ride.
“Evan is a handful. Very strong into feet, uses his body well, has pace to burn and a good goalscoring record to go with it in this league and leagues above.”
Ex-Gresley and Belper Town man Dominc Allen takes Attenborough’s squad number up to eight.
The manager added: “I’d like to take this opportunity to welcome Dom [Allen] to the club. He is a player that I thought about going in for last season, but with having a settled squad, the timing wasn't right back then.
“Dom can now come in and get a pre season under his belt so he can hit the ground running along with the rest of the squad when we get the go ahead.”
