Loughborough Dynamo Chairman Frank Fall said the whole club is wishing Jamie Clarke a speedy recovery after the player was rushed to hospital on Tuesday night with a suspected disclocated knee.

Clarke was injured after falling badly during an aerial challenge against Quorn in the Westerby County Cup clash at the Nanpantan Sports Ground with less than ten minutes to go.

The tie was stopped on 82 minutes while Clarke was treated on the pitch by medics and was eventually abandoned by the referee as the Evo-Stik NPL First Division South club's officials waited for the arrival of an ambulance.

The 30-year-old was taken to Leicester Royal Infirmary where doctors confirmed he'd suffered a dislocated knee and his left leg was put in a full plaster.

Loughborough's Chairman said the injury was the result of an accidental challenge and on Wednesday revealed that the club was hopeful it would not be as bad as first feared after praising the quick work by the ambulance crew who attended the scene. Dynamo's Chairman said they'd managed to put his injured knee back in place and the club has been told the plaster could be removed as early as Friday.

Loughborough's Chairman said: "The ambulance crew feel that they put the knee back in place and the plaster will be taken off on Friday when the medics will hopefully be able to fully assess the damage when the swelling has gone down. It was a particularly painful injury and everybody at Dynamo wishes Jamie a complete and speedy recovery."
