The former Hull City and Portsmouth professional is preparing to turn around the fortunes of the Seagulls in EVO-STIK NPL First Division North next season after successive relegations following his appointment on Friday as the permanent successor to Kevin Lynch.
Moore, pictured, last managed in the EVO-STIK NPL at Kidsgrove in 2014. A UEFA A licence coach, he has also been a director of Football at Woodley Sports since injury cut short his playing career while he was at Portsmouth.
After turning to management, Moore twice won promotion with Cheshire outfit Daten before a spell in charge of Congleton Town. He followed that by helping save Leek Town from relegation before spending two years at his hometown club Warrington Town.
Spells at Ashton Athletic and Clitheroe followed for Moore who will be assisted by Phil Hadland and Dave Hughes, the former Atherton LR and Runcorn Linnets manager who has most recently been scouting for Salford City.
Hadland, pictured left alongside Moore and Hughes, enjoyed a long playing career with a number of Football League clubs including Reading, Leyton Orient, Brighton and Colchester before moving into Non-league with Hednesford, Leek Town, Kidsgrove and Warrington Town.
In a statement released by the Seagulls, their new manager said: "I am very excited to be joining Colwyn Bay FC and would like to thank the board of directors for putting their faith in me to create and build a side that can compete at NPL level.
"I am no stranger to the league they will be playing in [EVO-STIK NPL First Division North] and I want to entertain the supporters and give them a team to be proud of, one that works hard for each other and can be recognised as a solid unit.
"My aim will be to look at the local players, along with young players currently at the club, and look to add experienced players to give us a platform to work from."
He added: "It is a demanding league and to be successful you have to be consistent, have stability in the squad and a commitment from the players. It is a really exciting challenge, a fresh start for everyone and a great opportunity to create success.”
