The former Market Drayton Town, Belper Town and Stafford Rangers forward is hoping to secure a dream move to League Two Blackpool after spending the week on trial at the Tangerines.
Currently in his second spell with the EVO-STIK League South's Blues and arguably Leek’s stand-out player this season with 11 goals to his name before being spotted by scouts from the Tangerines, the 24-year-old headed to the seaside after scoring in Tuesday night's Staffordshire Senior Cup quarter-final defeat against Stoke City at Harrison Park.
Stevenson, pictured in action for the Blues, is set to be included in Leek's line-up at Cleethorpes Town on Saturday and was watched by Leek boss Neil Baker at Blackpool’s training ground on Thursday when the striker and winger was put through his paces.
Baker told the club's official Pitchero website on Friday: “We’ll just have to see how it goes. Rob’s been watched a few times this season and Blackpool decided they wanted to take a good look at him at their own training ground.”
