OVER £1,500 was raised at a charity football match between Mickleover Sports and Burton Albion – and Sports also celebrated their fourth pre-season win this month, by winning the KC Trust : Trust KC Trophy
Two goals from Danny Davidson, plus one each from Kev Grocott and Simeon Oshoboke completed a 4-1 victory for the home side, who were also using the match to celebrate the life of Burton Albion and Mickleover Sports supporter, Keith Calladine, who died of a heart attack shortly after watching Sports last year.
A charity, the KC Trust, has been set up in his memory and their aim is to raise money to buy life-saving heart defibulators.
The charity's first donation was to Sports, who received their defibulator before kick-off.
Paul Calladine, Keith's son who has helped to set up the KC Trust, said: "Our aim is to raise enough money for defibulators in public places across the city"
