The EVO-STIK League added Vole to its thriving social media accounts on Facebook and Twitter this week following the free platform's successful launch in Germany and the UK for the start of the 2017-18 campaign.
Originally launched in Turkey towards the end of last season and dedicated entirely to the beautiful game, Vole allows users to interact with other fans during matches by sharing live pictures, posts and chat and is being hailed as the Instagram of football.
Vole is already proving popular with fans at a host of Premier League clubs including Chelsea and Arsenal as well as a number of top players. After signing the EVO-STIK League up, social media manager James Heyes is looking forward to Vole adding to the competition's surging stats on socials over the last 12 months with nearly 17,000 fans, players and officials following on Twitter and thousands more visiting the official Facebook pages and liking what they see.
Vole's administrators retweeted the first post by @evostikleague on Twitter on Thursday after verifying the new account and Heyes said: "With the ever expanding world of social media and Vole really taking off, we wanted to be the first league to be involved. Although they've started by targeting the top levels, we wanted to jump in early and our involvement has apparently sparked a spike in interest from others already."
Heyes added: "We're looking forward to the opportunities the app can provide to keep expanding the EVO-STIK League in the digital world."
