The 6’6 shot-stopper comes with an incredible pedigree after starting his career at Wrexham and then Burnley.
Coming through the youth ranks at Turf Moor, the 20-year-old then signed for Premier League side Wolves in the summer of 2019.
Progressing into the U21s side at Molineux, O’Shaughnessy has enjoyed loan spells at Hednesford and most recently Bradford City.
The young Irishman has also trained with his national side at U21s level.
On his arrival, Macclesfield goalkeeping coach Dean Baker said: “Joe is an exceptional goalkeeper, who I am looking forward to working with here at Macclesfield FC.
“He will provide further competition for places and that can only be a good thing for us.
“Joe’s signing enhances our squad even further and as we enter the latter stages of the season, this is something that could well prove to be critical in our bid for promotion.”
