Padiham’s late quest for a shirt sponsor has ended with the EVO-STIK League club signing award winning business technology company Denwa Communications.
The First Division North’s Storks were forced to launch an urgent hunt to secure a shirt sponsor after a promised deal fell through at the last minute in August and they had to kick off the new campaign with no branding on their kit.
Padiham are one of the oldest football clubs in the country and officials at the Arbories Memorial Sports Ground are delighted to have secured a new main sponsor with an ongoing plan to support and encourage sporting excellence around the Lancashire area.
The sponsorship deal was confirmed only days before the multi-award winning company's staff were due to sponsor and present the Sport Development Recognition Award at the 2014 Pendle Sports Awards and they are now looking forward to being part of the club’s future success.
Denwa managing director Rob Scott said: "This is a great step for Denwa and we`re extremely happy to be involved with a club that has accomplished so much over the last few years.
"As well as showing our support for the local community, we also see this as a fantastic opportunity to promote the numerous job opportunities now available at Denwa to individuals who naturally thrive within a team-based, goal driven working environment."
The new Storks sponsors, who were established in 2006, already know how well Steve Wilkes’ side has being doing in recent seasons thanks to his left-back Tom Bradley who is also one of their field sales executive.
In the statement released by the club unveiling his employers as their new main sponsor, he said: "Padiham FC and Denwa are both fantastic institutions to be part of and I, along with everyone else at the club, am really grateful to Rob Scott for investing in us and showing his support."
