Experienced striker puts pen to paper with Bootle

Striker Andy Owens has agreed to join Bootle on dual registration from Chorley.

Owens began his career with Liverpool’s under 18s squad and played within Stoke’s youth setup from 2006 to 2009.

The 33-year-old has a vast amount of experience, having previously appeared for clubs including Accrington Stanley, Southport, Mansfield Town and Barrow.

The proven goalscorer will certainly bolster Ste McNulty’s attack ahead of a busy December schedule.

The club have confirmed that Owens will be available for selection on Saturday when the Bucks face 1874 Northwich in front of the home crowd.
